Though it’s held its own through time, manufacturers, government agencies, and recycling companies have started to blow the whistle on the long-term health and environmental effects of this packaging solution. One of the greatest challenges facing polystyrene packaging solutions is collecting, sorting and recycling, specifically in single-serve cup form. This has become so problematic that in recent years, polystyrene was classified as “not recyclable.” With goals established by the [U.S. Plastics Pact](https://usplasticspact.org) to phase this material out by 2025, the need for a sustainable packaging solution has never been more urgent. ## Introducing XPP™ Polypropylene: A Sustainable Packaging Revolution [XPP™ Polypropylene](https://icpg.co/materials-and-applications/xpp/) is a fully recyclable, sustainable packaging solution.
